2012 English Recitation Contest
Last week, a number of students in grades 3-6 participated in Koka Gakuen Elementary School’s inaugural Recitation Contest. Students selected a short poem or piece or prose to recite, and then performed in front of their classmates, teachers and judges. All of the students in the contest did their very best, and some wonderful recitations were produced!
Each grade level had three judges, including one “special guest judge” from the English Department of Koka Gakuen Junior and Senior High Schools.
Prizes were awarded for five categories in each grade level: Best pronunciation, best expression, best fluency, best voice and best learned. The 2012 Recitation was enjoyed by all, and we are now looking forward to the 2013 edition!
