Over the past few weeks, we have been very lucky to have a special guest teacher at Koka Gakuen Elementary School. Noki, a university student at the International Christian University in Mitaka, has been teaching various grade levels about Chinese culture and language. A Chinese citizen from the southern Chinese city of Shenzen, Noki is fluent in five languages – Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese, English & French. The students at Koka have really enjoyed his energetic and engaging lessons, as well as his warm and friendly personality. The highlight of Noki’s visit for the younger grades was his wonderful Kung Fu demonstration! The older students really enjoyed challenging themselves with some extremely difficult Chinese kanji!
